Gland Packing Graphite is usually made with a braid or woven system with a cross-sectional shape and the constituent material can be graphite, acrilic, PTFE, asbestos and so on of the pump fluid that serves as a gasket lubricant. The seal is generally called a seal is a part in a machine tool I construction which serves as a barrier / blocker in and out of fluid, both process fluids and lubricants.
